A company that banks and processes like a local one

One entity in one member state, with a resident director on it, gives you an IBAN and euro acquiring that works across the bloc. Which state you pick is a banking decision, not a legal one.

What decides the outcome in European Union and EEA

Business banking requires local presence

EU banks and EMIs onboard against a director who is resident in the bloc, with a local address and an identity the bank can verify. Non-resident-only files are refused or frozen at review.

Merchant accounts require local ownership

European acquirers underwrite the signer as well as the entity, and expect a resident director tied to the ownership record before euro processing is approved.

Accounts get closed over ownership and addresses

EMIs re-review live accounts constantly. A director who cannot be reached, or a registered office shared with hundreds of shells, ends the account and holds the balance.

Registers are public

Beneficial ownership registers and company records in most member states are inspected by banks directly, so what is filed has to match how the business actually runs.

How it actually ends
  1. Approved

The account opens. Nothing looks wrong yet.

  2. Trading

Volume builds and the balance sits with the provider between payouts.

  3. Review lands

Ownership, the signer and the registered address get re-checked, often after growth or a dispute spike.

The local presence on the file does not survive it
  4. Funds held

Payouts stop and the account is closed. The balance sits through the hold while every checkout and payout integration pointing at it breaks the same day.

  5. Recovery

You are a closed account arguing with a risk team. Some get paid out at the end of the hold, some get a partial release, some never see it.

Opening the account was never the hard part. This is the part that costs money.

Owner plus company

We find a vetted person in the market you want to sell in, form the company in their name, and put you in as the operator who runs it: marketing, sales, ops and IT.

Local director or manager only

A vetted resident director, manager or signer appointed to the company you already have, so it can open the accounts that will not move without local representation.

What a placement includes

  • Formation in the member state that fits the banking route
  • VAT and tax number coordination
  • Registered office and local correspondence address
  • Resident director or owner under written terms
  • Banking, EMI and acquirer documentation support
  • Annual accounts and filing coordination

Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Estonia and Cyprus are the routes we place into most often. Tell us the acquirer or bank you are targeting and we will scope to that, not to whichever registry is cheapest.

An appointment does not conceal the ultimate beneficial owner. Appointed directors, managers and owners remain subject to their legal duties, and beneficial ownership or control is disclosed wherever it is required.

Banking and payment accounts are subject exclusively to the institution's underwriting and approval. Nominee Network does not guarantee approval and does not misrepresent ownership, management, control or business activity.
